A couple of photos say more than ...
I don't want to become this a weird Detroit mourning blog or something and the 16 today's Guardian photos by Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre don't show anything that hasn't been shown or discribed elsewhere already.
But you can look at them anyway , they don't harm. ;)
What immediately came to my mind this time was Chernobyl .
How often have we seen abandonded houses and places of Pripjat in the media and we knew it took a serious reactor meltdown to force people to abandon their homes back then.
Now it's obviously a task for the avid readers and brilliant observers to make up their minds about the differences between these two disasters.
